As students, we have a number of inalienable rights that should not be ignored.

As students, we deserve--

  1. competent teachers that are knowledgeable in a subject and/or have proper schooling in the subject;
  2. to be taught by those teachers, not by a computer algorithm in lieu of and/or by proxy of that teacher;
  3. to be treated as people, not as numbers or cheques;
  4. to have our inalienable and equitable human rights respected;
  5. to have our voice heard in a realistic and equitable fashion;
  6. to have the Constitution of the United States of America, all international law thereof, all federal law thereof, and all state law thereof, including the Constitution of the State of Louisiana;

Point 1 - Competency of Faculty and Staff

The term "teacher" shall describe an individual meeting one or more of the following criterion--

  1. holds a degree in the subject,
  2. has studied that subject (at or above the level present to be taught in class) or a similar subject thereof,
  3. sufficiently understands the present curriculum insofar as is needed to teach the subject,
  4. or is concurrently studying the subject.

Such as an individual teacher shall not provide personal opinion as fact, or personal fact as fact.

For example, the religion of a teacher should not influence the material taught.

Point 2 - Banning of Artificial Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence, while bad for students, poses a threat of equal or greater severity to teachers.

An example of frequent AI use seen in school is using AI to attempt to "catch" people using AI.

Another such example is the use of AI generated posters, slideshows, quizzes, &c in classrooms.

The frequency at which AI creates false information is staggering in comparison to if a teacher did it by hand.

Additionally, AI generated posters (as created for school events) are eyesores and, in many cases, elicit the opposite effect.

Point 3 - Treatment of Students

The students recognise the fact that students, in many cases, provide funding to schools.

Additionally, we recognise the fact that the school holds in loco parentis.

However, even though the school holds such a power, they are not allowed to act as though they are our parents.

Yet--

  1. the school is known to have made attempts at silencing the student body,
  2. the school is known to have enforced rules that are--
    1. overly vague, and
    2. unpublished;
  3. the school is known to have made attempts at inhumanely restricting students.
